On Nov. 10, 2012, the protocol of promoting Shanghai & Florence - Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center was signed by Florence Municipal Government and UNESCO Creative City (Shanghai) Promotion Office at Florence municipal hall, officially initiating the construction of the project of Shanghai & Florence - Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center.
Shanghai & Florence - Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence base) is located in STROZZI villa. As the first development base of creative design industry，setting up in Europe as well as the starting point for launching China’s cultural creativity strength overseas, the Center will become the beginning for the creative design companies in Shanghai and even the whole China to enter the European market, starting a new page for Sino-European cooperation in the field of creative design，and promoting exchanges and cooperation in design and fashion.
