由德必意大利、中意设计交流中心和德必北京主办，佛罗伦萨市政府、上海设计之都促进中心、上海市对外文化交流协会和意大利乌戈·圭迪博物馆支持的美国艺术家Kyle Skor线上艺术展“椰子树下的梦想——小眯瞪儿和小钢镚儿”于意大利时间7月21日12时上线。

Kyle Skor's personal online exhibition "Meeder & Gangber: Dreaming Under the Coconut Tree" is organized by DoBe Italy, the Sino Italian Design Exchange Center and DoBe Beijing, in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence, Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design, the Shanghai International Culture Association, and the Ugo Guidi Museum, opens on July 21st, 2023, at 12:00 Italian time.

椰子树下的梦想 —— 小眯瞪儿和小钢镚儿

你可能从来没有听说过泡泡人世界，但我向你保证，它并不遥远。尽管它高于人类世界，人类世界看不见，但它存在于每个相信温柔的声音、神秘的微风和沿着生命的叶芽流动的微小生物的低语的人的脑海中。在泡泡人世界，有许多独特可爱的角色，但我今天要给大家介绍的两个是迷瞪儿和钢镚儿。尽管他们看起来像双胞胎，生活在一起，但他们都有不同的性格、习惯和怪癖。在这个展览中，你可以品尝到他们的许多游戏和过去，从平凡到愚蠢和崇高，再到他们开设一家”月亮宝盒“花店，这是一个非常著名的地方，泡泡人世界现代史上的许多传奇故事都是在这里首次讲述和诞生的。跟我来，让我们在一棵神圣的椰子树下做梦，好吗？

Meeder & Gangber: Dreaming Under the Coconut Tree

You may never have heard of PauPau Land, but I assure you it is not far away. Although high above and invisible to the human world, it exists in the mind's eye of everyone who believes in gentle sounds, mystic breezes, and whispers from tiny creatures roving along the leaf-buds of life. In PauPau Land there are many unique, lovable characters, but two I want to introduce to you today are Meeder and Gangber. Although they look like twins and live together, both have different personalities, mannerisms, and quirks. In this exhibition, you can get a taste of their many games and pasttimes, from the mundane to the silly and sublime, en route to their opening of a flower shop, a now very famous place in which many legendary tales in the modern history of PauPau Land were first told and born. Come with me, and let us dream for a moment or two under a divine coconut tree, shall we?

泡泡人是 Kyle 创作的着陆点。这些拥有不同名字，不同性格的小人存在于复杂的文明之上，多少有点超现实的味道。在这个世界里，花朵和树的长法都是有韵律的，这韵律是最大限度的共享，你温暖我，我也会温暖你。

在生命进入庄严与寂静之时，这片悬浮在人类维度之上的泡泡世界，仿佛与我们并没有什么不同：有光、有音乐，有自己的文化与宗教。他们踏实、纯粹，有时会感觉委屈，也有自己的小脾气，却总能拥抱更大的智慧。

那些柔软的小人儿毫无保留的袒露着一颗爱心，他们甚至有些没有五官，却能神奇并清晰的感受到它们每一个的情绪状态，愉悦着的、思考着的、幸福着的、调皮着的……满怀希望努力生长的泡泡人，充满着温暖明媚的力量感，带我们找到希望！

从儿时起形成的对视觉艺术的兴趣与热爱，也一直影响着kyle对世界的思考方式，对Kyle来说，最真实、最自然的事情是让他的思想、生活，通过颜色、形状和形式以及双手表达出来。

PauPau is the landing point for Kyle's creation. These villains with different names and personalities exist in complex civilizations, with a somewhat surreal flavor. In this world, the growth of flowers and trees is rhythmic, and this rhythm is shared to the greatest extent. If you warm me, I will also warm you.

When life enters solemnity and silence, this bubble world floating above the human dimension seems no different from us: with light, music, and our own culture and religion. They are down-to-earth and pure, sometimes feeling wronged, and have their own small temper, but they always embrace greater wisdom.

Those soft paupau without reservation reveal a love, some of them even have no facial features, but they can miraculously and clearly feel each of their emotional states, joyful, thinking, happy, mischievous... The bubbly people who grow with hope and hard work, full of a warm and bright sense of power, take us to find hope!

The interest and love for visual art formed from childhood has always influenced Kyle's way of thinking about the world. For Kyle, the most real and natural thing is to express his thoughts and life through color, shape, and form, as well as his hands.

An artist full of philosophy and "immortal spirit"

Kyle Karkoska Skor是一位出生于1983年的美国艺术家。他毕业于威廉姆斯学院艺术史专业，在哈佛大学是人类发展的博士生，获得了著名的总统奖学金；他对实践艺术的热爱使他在硕士毕业后进入艺术生活。他一直在创造他虚构的“泡泡”世界，一个幻想中的梦幻之地，天空中居住着从云端出生的精灵。这一景观最初只是纸上的水彩作品，近年来已扩展到大规模的绘画、儿童图画书、艺术讽刺产品和雕塑装置。目前，泡泡公司正在开发其视频游戏和动画系列的IP及其他项目。

Kyle Karkoska Skor is an American artist born in 1983. A graduate of Williams College, where he studied art history, he went on to Harvard University, where he was a doctoral student in human development and the recipient of a prestigious Presidential Fellowship. Ultimately his desire to practice art compelled him to leave Harvard after his Masters and live his calling. For the last twelve years he has slowly but surely been conjuring his fictional 'PauPau' world, a fantasy dream land in the sky populated by characters born from clouds. While this landscape started out rather modestly with small watercolor works on paper, it has in recent years expanded into larger-scale paintings, a children's picture book, art derivative products, and sculptural installations. At the moment, the PauPau Company is working on developing its IP for video games and an animated series, among other projects.
