Cultural lntelligence can be defined as a person's capability to adapt as s/he interacts with others from different cultural regions, and has behavioral, motivational, and metacognitive aspects. So far there is no much research in this field in China.CQ has something to do with IQ and EQ. People with high IQ may not have high EQ. As is shown in a research, only 40% people have both high EQ and high CQ, the rest don't. For example, someone may feel fine in a homeland, but it's difficult for him to adapt in foreign countries. Even if he knows about foreign culture, he is not able to integrate into local society and have a good study of working life. There is other type of people who are not interested in foreign cultures. They are only willing to stay in their own country or city.

It does not matter if you are in a fast moving consumer products or traditional manufacturing company or a small business, you work with people who have different cultural heritages every day. In order for us to be successful in the globalized marketplace, we need proper skill to navigate various cultural differences and produce sustainable business results.

There are many benefits of enhancing cultural intelligence. The skill helps us communicate more effectively across cultures, build up strong relationship and trust, manage conflicts, and capable of leading multicultural teams. As a result, we will be able to live, work, and lead effectively in any culture, and to produce desired results in a sustainable way.
