Shanghai Changning Promotion Event Held in SIDECTime:2026-05-14

On May 13, 2026, a delegation led by Bai Xueru, Executive Vice Mayor of Changning District, Shanghai, visited the Palazzo Borghese, where the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center office is located, to host the "Invest in Shanghai · Share the Future" Overseas Promotion and Roadshow (Italy Station).The event aimed to leverage Changning’s advantages as an internationalized district to build a bridge for deep dialogue between Chinese and Italian enterprises, exploring new drivers for cooperation in fields such as urban renewal, historic building protection, and high-end services.

 

Distinguished guests in attendance included Hou Jiaping, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Changning District CPC Committee; Guo Hai, Director of the Changning District Planning and Natural Resources Bureau; Lin Ziyue, Director of the Changning District Housing Security and Administration Bureau; Xu Shanshan, Director of the Changning District State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission; Bian Xiaoqing, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xinjing Town; Corrado Galli, President of the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center; Claudio Nobler, President of U.A.I. Tuscany; Andrea Pieri, President of the Italian Swimming Federation; Wang Dongbo, President of Associna Tuscany; Cosimo Ballerini, Founder of GIABS; Cosimo Savio, CEO of Savio Firmino; Andrea Coppola, Founder of MINT ITALIA; Massimo Mellini, Principal of Mellini Mosaici; Francesco Sani, President of Sani+Partners; and Cheng Ming, Head of China Affairs for Palazzo Spinelli Institute for Art and Restoration. The event was also joined by elite representatives from the sectors of art and design, jewelry and goldsmithing, aquatic sports, high-end manufacturing, and business consulting.

 
Executive Vice Mayor Bai Xueru emphasized that Changning District, serving as Shanghai's "Gateway Hub" to the global stage, is steadfast in its pursuit of high-level opening-up and the cultivation of an international "First-class District" defined by the highest standards of openness. She noted a profound resonance between Changning and Florence in their shared reverence for cultural heritage and craftsmanship, highlighting that Changning offers not only the "hard power" of global investment clusters and trade facilitation but also the "soft culture" of its century-old villas and historical landscapes. She extended a cordial invitation to Italian enterprises to utilize Changning as their primary window for sharing Shanghai's vast opportunities and establishing their presence in China, aiming to integrate "Made in Italy" with "Shanghai-style culture" to forge a future of high-quality, win-win development.
 
 
Corrado Galli, CEO of the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center, highlighted that the center operated by DoBe Group has long been dedicated to the precision matching of enterprises from both nations. He described the center not only as a space for international cooperation but also as a professional support platform helping SMEs navigate international challenges and connect with global resources. He expressed high expectations for further exploring the complementary potential between the two sides in creative culture and advanced manufacturing.
 
 
During the event, Executive Vice Mayor Bai Xueru presented a "Global Partner" plaque to Shanghai DoBe Cultural & Creative Industry Development (Group) Co., Ltd. on behalf of the Changning District Government. This ceremony marked a new stage of collaboration, where both parties will integrate global resources to provide comprehensive professional support for Changning brands "going global" and Italian enterprises "entering China".
 
 
Bian Xiaoqing, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xinjing Town in Changning District, delivered a detailed introduction to the regional business environment and diverse application scenarios. She specifically demonstrated how Changning deepens trade facilitation reforms, leveraging functional platforms such as the regular "Customs-Locality Coordinator" mechanism and the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center to continuously stimulate innovation momentum amidst digital transformation. This presentation fully showcased Changning’s professional capacity to provide one-stop, full-lifecycle services for global enterprises, cordially inviting Italian partners to share in Shanghai's innovation dividends in the digital economy era.
 
 
Lin Ziyue, Director of the Housing Security and Administration Bureau, delivered a thematic roadshow titled "Preservation of Outstanding Historical Buildings in Changning District". He shared Changning’s excellence in protecting historical context within urban renewal. The presentation resonated deeply with Italian authoritative preservation institutions and art workshops, building a bridge for dialogue on cultural heritage and sustainable urban development.
 
 
In the closing remarks, the moderator, Hou Jiaping, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Changning District CPC Committee, stated that Shanghai Changning will continue to optimize service guarantees, share opportunities in an open environment, and achieve win-win results to write a new chapter in Sino-Italian economic, trade, and cultural cooperation.
