The visit aimed to gain an in-depth understanding of the development of the cultural, creative, and design industries between China and Italy, and to explore opportunities for practical cooperation in design, cultural exchange, and the service economy.

The delegation was led by Liang Ke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen, and included officials from relevant municipal departments of Shenzhen, as well as from Nanshan District and Bao’an District.

Liang Ke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Qianhai Authority, stated that Shenzhen, as one of the most dynamic innovation cities in China, has positioned Qianhai as a key platform for Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation in the modern service industry as well as a national-level new district and free trade zone. In recent years, Qianhai has actively promoted the internationalization of its business environment, placing particular emphasis on deepening cooperation with European design resources and fostering a diversified and integrated collaborative ecosystem. Liang highlighted the great potential for Sino-Italian cooperation and expressed the hope that the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center would serve as a bridge to promote industrial upgrading and high-quality urban development.

Wang Qun, Chief Operating Officer of the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center and Head of DoBe Group’s Italy Project, provided a detailed introduction to the Center’s development, highlighting its achievements in promoting cooperation and exchanges between China and Italy in the fields of culture, and creative industries. She expressed that the Center will continue to leverage its high-quality platform resources to foster diverse collaborations with Shenzhen and support innovative development.

A representative from Nanshan District stated that Nanshan District, as a key driver of Shenzhen’s innovation-led development, is actively promoting the transformation of its traditional apparel wholesale industry toward high-end design, brand incubation, and international fashion resource linkage. She expressed the hope that through cooperation with the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center, Nanshan could attract more international design forces to empower the industry chain, helping the district’s apparel and fashion industries move up the value chain and build an innovation ecosystem with global competitiveness.

An official representative of Bao’an District stated that Bao’an District, as a major manufacturing hub, has in recent years actively promoted the integrated development of culture, sports, tourism, and commerce, continuously revitalizing emerging industries such as digital creativity and intangible cultural heritage tourism. The district is striving to build a culturally distinctive new city. Bao’an attaches great importance to the cultivation of urban spirit and the preservation of cultural memory, consistently treating cultural development as a strategic support for enhancing urban quality and driving high-quality growth. He expressed the hope that by leveraging the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center platform, Bao’an could introduce outstanding Italian design and cultural resources, deepen Sino-Italian cultural exchanges and industrial innovation cooperation, and further empower the transformation and upgrading of the Greater Bay Area’s cultural and creative industries.

An official from the Qianhai Authority stated that, leveraging Qianhai’s continuous efforts in internationalization, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Qianhai Authority have jointly launched the "Qianhai e-Station"—an integrated online and offline overseas service platform. Focusing on three key areas—product export, investment expansion, and service export—the platform connects with overseas governments, industrial parks, and enterprises to support Shenzhen enterprises and cultural brands in accelerating their international expansion and enhancing global competitiveness. To date, Qianhai e-Station has established cooperative networks with major economic zones and industrial parks across multiple countries and regions, providing strong support for Shenzhen enterprises' overseas development and the internationalization of the Greater Bay Area's cultural sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed, under which both sides committed to leveraging the Qianhai e-Station platform to deepen cooperation in design innovation, urban arts, and the internationalization of cultural brands, and to jointly create a new model of collaborative development for Sino-Italian cultural and creative industries. This signing marks a significant step forward in practical cooperation and resource integration between Qianhai and Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center in the fields of cultural creativity and service economy, injecting new momentum into the international development of cultural, creative, and service industries between China and Italy.
