Anhui Province Delegation visits SIDECTime:2024-11-07
On October 31, 2024, a delegation from the Anhui Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department visited the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center’s Florence base, operated by DoBe Group, for an in-depth study and exchange. This visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in cultural creativity, exhibitions, and industry development between the two regions, advancing collaboration between China and Italy in the cultural industry to a new level.

The delegation members included Fang Xiaoli, Deputy Minister of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department; Dong Lei, Director of the Cultural Industry Planning and Development Division of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department; Fan Xinghong, Director of the Industry Development Division of the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism; Du Wentao, Executive Deputy Minister of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department; He Hongye, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Trade Promotion Exhibition and Display Co., Ltd.; and Cai Wenting, Project Manager of the Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo at Shanghai Trade Promotion Exhibition and Display Co., Ltd.

In his speech, Deputy Minister Fang Xiaoli emphasized that Anhui Province, as a cultural hub of China, is rich in historical heritage and cultural resources, including numerous intangible cultural heritage assets and a thriving creative industry. He expressed hope that this visit would draw on Italy’s leading experience in the cultural and creative sectors, driving innovation and internationalization in Anhui’s cultural industry. Fang highlighted Anhui's commitment to building more bridges for China-Italy cultural exchanges, exploring deep collaboration in culture, tourism, and creative design, and contributing to the cultural and economic prosperity of both regions.

Corrado Galli, CEO of the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center, reflected on the Center’s significant role in promoting cultural exchanges between China and Italy since its establishment, particularly in fostering cooperation within the cultural and creative industries. The Center expressed its commitment to supporting Anhui in its endeavors in cultural industry and exhibitions, helping both sides achieve greater development on the international stage.

He Hongye, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Trade Promotion Exhibition and Display Co., Ltd., introduced the Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo. As a prestigious cultural event in China and globally, the Expo strives to promote the integration of culture and industry, offering a vital platform for cultural and creative enterprises worldwide. She warmly invited Italian artists and cultural institutions to participate in next year's Expo, showcasing Italy’s unique art and cultural charm. Through the exchanges and exhibits at the Expo, she hopes to enhance Sino-Italian cultural and artistic collaboration and drive the prosperity of the global cultural and creative industries.

During this visit, both parties reached preliminary consensus on multiple areas, including cultural creativity, exhibitions, and cultural industry cooperation. With the support of the Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center, Anhui and Italy look forward to further deepening their exchanges and promoting the high-quality development of the cultural industry together.
