On November 6, 2020, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the Italian Republic . For celebrating, organized by the Dobe Group and the Sino Italian Design Exchange Center and Miss Yolanda Academy of Aesthetics, with support from the Comune di Firenze, Quartiere 4 Comune di Firenze, Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design, Shanghai International Culture Association and Cross-Cultural Communication and Development Association, the online exhibition “Colour travel across time and space” of two artists, Miss Yolanda and Tonino Maurizi, opens from today until Dec 5th.

In this online exhibition, Sino Italian design exchange centre invites two excellent artists Miss Yolanda and Tonino Maurizi to begin a journey of colour across time and space, in this occasion, they will express their understanding of contemporary art through the different materials and passionate creation.

 

Colour definition is the most accurate way to establish self-identity. In Tonino Maurizi's creations, the red lacquer is always the main theme. The hottest and most ardent colour changes in different structures often create a very strong sense of the picture. The fashion celebrity Miss Yolanda who crossover fashion runways and jewellery design, she uses red in her works, which can stimulate the vigour of life, gives the jewellery vitality, spirituality, a new life and higher value. The purity of art is cruising in the space of form, giving the sincere red a touch of determination and courage. Colour expresses their true and innocent inner world, and also gives our senses and emotions the most intuitive response.

 

Their creations are composed of both abstract and concrete critical points, calmly marching between rationality and sensibility, giving the audience a graceful and restrained aesthetic perception. Tonino Maurizi's brushstrokes flickering between forms and the strict frame limits arbitrary emotions. The sea lily series was designed by Miss Yolanda, based on the characteristics of prehistoric beautiful marine life. The curve design that fits the neck and arm of the wearer is to restore the magic of the "Heavenly Creation" crinoid. Their works are perceptual creations above form, and they are the summons of reality to the future.

 

The works of the two artists interpret new meanings for colours. Pure but powerful, concise but not monotonous, this is the art endowed with the distinguished and extraordinary. The most affecting part of their works is that they are unrestrained in the composition of the modern frame and structure, and blooming in the liminal space.

Miss Yolanda is the champion of the first China International Advertising Model Competition, one of the most popular and respected Chinese supermodels in the world, her features combined western and eastern charm. She is highly favoured by international brands and famous designers. Repeatedly have been invited to attend the four major international fashion weeks. She is adept in conveying brand value accurately and perspicuity. Appeared on the Italian "VOGUE" website for multiple consecutive issues. Precise delivery of clothing connotation boarded the United States "New York Times". In recent years, she has devoted herself to the training of the new generation, served as a professional judge for "Chinese Supermodel" "Fashion China" and other programs many times. The Miss Yolanda Academy of Aesthetics is committed to providing professional services of aesthetic design and aesthetic application for China's technology industry and manufacturing industry. Tonino Maurizi was born in 1940 in Montecosaro Italy and graduated from Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan where he was able to make various experiments and transfer from craftsmanship to art and vice versa with an intense and fruitful exchange. But it is the encounter with Ivo Pannaggi’s extensive research that has radically changed the life of Tonino Maurizi, taking him away from his country to Switzerland, France and Northern Europe, where he comes into contact with the ideals of the Bauhaus that they introduce industrial and product design. The expansive character of his work caused him to branch out into scenography, interior design and fashion. He also worked with the Dior fashion house in Paris. In his paintings we can always discern the fusion between the memory of the past and the present, exploring space through colour, expressing the deeper philosophy of artistic conception.
